HAHAHAHAHAHAHA… Forgive me, this will be my last post on this subject. It turns out that the new Microsoft “I’m a PC” television campaign was produced (wait for it) on a Mac!!!

Metadata found on Microsoft’s creative copy used in its ‘I’m a PC’ ad reveals that the graphics were actually produced using Macs running Adobe Creative Suite 3. After the details were published on the Flickr photo sharing site, Microsoft scrambled to polish off the embarrassing details last night.

That’s ridiculously silly. I love it!

Yesterday, I told you about the new ad campaign from Microsoft that’s designed to take out Apple’s “I’m a Mac” campaign. Well, last night MS rolled out the first commercial in their new “I’m a PC” series:

The video is tastefully done and includes some humor (I like the shark and the ‘I turn #2 into energy’ parts). I still contend that talking about #2 (Apple not poo, this time) is not what the best direction for them, but they really couldn’t care less about what I think.

My theory: spend the $300 Million making your operating system bulletproof. The biggest problem with MS is the security and stability of their product. If they were to fix their problems and come out with a new, stable operating system, that isn’t rushed to market, and they would annihilate Apple.

…and that’s coming from a Mac.

The MagSafe power adapter on my MacBook Pro nearly started on fire yesterday. At the computer end of the cable, a bulge had started to appear and there was a brownish burnt look to it - then the plastic started melting off- and last night it looked like it was about to start on fire. Luckily, there was no damage to my computer.

I have had this computer for about a year and a half. It does get a lot of use, but there’s no reason that even at my moderate level of usage that the power adapter should be starting on fire!

I’m going to the Apple Store as soon as possible to ask them what the hell the deal is!

Today is the big day when Apple releases a whole bunch of cool new products. People are speculating that they are going to release an “ultra-portable” new MacBook. We’ll see! They always release these just in time for us to get our tax returns. No new toys for me this year, though. At least, that’s what I keep telling myself.

Apple’s Leopard Operating System debuts tomorrow night at 6pm at your local Apple Store! It’s going to be friggin’ sweet! AND… it’s already getting some cool reviews. The Wall Street Journal’s headline kinda sums it up: Leopard: Smarter, Faster than Vista. Now that is going to raise some eyebrows.
