National Spelling Bee

Thursday, May 28th, 2009 by Fuzz

I don’t like American Idol.

I can’t stand The Bachelor.

I hate John and Kate (though I can’t hate their eight).

But I can’t get enough of the National Spelling Bee on ABC. Kudos to a big network for putting something smart on television for once.

Celebrity Intervention

Monday, March 30th, 2009 by Fuzz

After watching Celebrity Apprentice last night, I really think that NBC would do well to create a show that combines The Apprentice with A&E’s Intervention.

Dennis Rodman is definitely in need of some sort of help for his alcoholism. Of course, you can’t help somebody unless they’re ready and willing to get help – which he doesn’t appear to be.

Love this song! Heard it on the radio, yesterday. Love it. I also love that Biz Markie is on Yo! Gabba Gabba (even though I can’t stand that show!)

**Seeqpod decided to make everything auto-play, so here’s a link to the song: Just a Friend

Mad Men (and other Emmy stuff)

Monday, September 22nd, 2008 by Fuzz

Everybody keeps talking about the Emmy Award winning show, Mad Men. I’ve watched one episode and thought it was alright, but I was lost. Somebody fill me in on the characters, the premise, and what I need to look for.

Congrats to Jeremy Piven on his Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series last night at the Emmy’s. If you’re not watching Entourage, you’re missing out on a hilariously funny series.

John Adams was the first miniseries that I have watched since I was a kid. It was excellent. Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney were wonderful. They were completely deserving of their awards. Hopefully, Generation Kill will win one next year. HBO never fails to pump out great shows.

Though I didn’t watch them, it seems that the Emmy Awards is the only awards show that ever seems to get it right. So, somebody give them the Emmy for Outstanding Awards Show.

Entourage

Monday, September 8th, 2008 by Fuzz

I LOVE my Charter OnDemand! (cha-ching). Last week, I watched the entire previous season of HBO’s Entourage in anticipation of the new season.

…and the new season is looking GREAT so far!!! What an excellent show!

Lost Season 4 Finale

Friday, May 30th, 2008 by Claude

*SPOILER*
Sorry if you TiVo-ed it…but it happened last night so it’s fair game to blog about today…

I didn’t think the Frozen Donkey Wheel was as exciting as last years Rattlesnake in the Mailbox
but the Season 4 finale was pretty good…and leaves some good unanswered questions for the final 2 seasons of the show.

Here is a quick video which shows the 3 different endings shot for the finale.

LifeLock Spokesman = Dumbass

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008 by Claude

Have you seen this ad on tv?  Where the spokesman for a company promising to save you from identity theft shows his Social Security Number on screen?

Funny thing is, the LifeLock’s service didn’t help the spokesman, who became a victim himself.  Whoops!  Guess you shouldn’t have given out your SS# on national TV.  Nothing like daring someone to steal your identity.  Sorta like daring Kevin Mitnick to hack into something.

Jungle Fever

Monday, May 5th, 2008 by Fuzz

My daughter and I were watching the Zoey 101 movie on Saturday night on Nickelodeon. Towards the end of the show, there was a band full of white kids playing some rock music.

The name of that band: Jungle Fever.

Now, I don’t want to be that guy pointing at the elephant in the room, but isn’t a term like “Jungle Fever” a little racy for a television show geared towards tweens?

I’m just saying…

Lost returns tonight, with the first of the final 5 episodes of Season 4…and I am WICKED EXCITED as Lost is the only show that is a must-see for me.

Mr. Eko, Smoke Monster, Lost
