I’ve Never Owned a PC
January 13th, 2009 by FuzzTagged as: Apple, I am a complete NERD, mac.
Most Mac addicts are converts. A lot of people “switched” after Mac OSX came out. Some made the “switch” after they fell in love with their iPods or iPhones.
Not me.
Never in my life have I owned a PC. In fact, the closest thing that I’ve had to a PC was a PowerPC (Mac). My father has owned Macs since they were Apples. I remember having Apple IICs, IIEs, etc. In fact, the only computer that I have ever owned that wasn’t a Mac was a Commodore 64. Sometimes on the weekends, I would even go to “Double-Click” meetings with my dad in some far off basement. That was when DOS was an up-and-comer. I’m getting old.
I only bring this up because I am sitting at my MacBook Pro compiling scripts and reminiscing about the times when my dad would be compiling code saying, “touch that computer and it will be the last thing that you do.” Ah, memories.
Full disclosure: there’s a Dell in my basement that my mom gave to me. I, however, have never plugged it in.

Lol, I’d be a Mac girl if my hubby hadn’t already been in so deep with his love/hate relationship with pc’s and Microsoft…. But alas, it was too late for him *sniff, sniff*.

What is going to happen to MAC now that Jobs is taking a leave of absence because of health reasons?

What is going to happen? Hopefully nothing drastic. That stock sell off was pretty drastic, though. Eek.

There will be a lot of articles saying that “Apple is going into the toilet” “The creative energy at Apple will be lost” blah blah blah.
Anytime a major figure leaves a company there is fear of pending doom, hence stock sell-offs…but let’s be real folks. While Steve Jobs is the tour de force which brought Apple its success, he didn’t do it alone. He surrounded himself with great thinkers, inovators and people who make up the culture that is NOW known as APPLE.
Microsoft hasn’t changed much with Bill Gates “retiring” and neither will Apple if Steve Jobs leaves for any reason. Jobs has built a community and culture that is self-sustaining in the ways that we expect of Apple, its products and style.
Claude, out.
