This is my website, so I talk about things that I want to talk about. This page contains my scattered thoughts that are hindered by A.D.D. and way too many grande black coffees from Starbucks. Some of the things you read may not be in the best taste, they may not be written with the most attention to detail, and there might even be a PG-Rated a-bomb scattered throughout the text. If you are not mature enough to read this, please don't. If you are, please remember that this is my personal website and none of the opinions represent that of West Bend Broadcasting, WBWI-FM, or Bliss Communications. Furthermore, any and all linked content does not represent the opinions West Bend Broadcasting, WBWI-FM, Bliss Communications, or myself for that matter. That being said, thanks for stopping by FuzzMartin.com. I hope you enjoy your experience.

I think you are reading a LITTLE too much into that, Fuzz.

O, c’mon, he’s the Obamessiah. You don’t think the same folks who would shoot McCain in the poorest of light possible (http://www.pdnpulse.com/2008/09/fallout-from-ji.html) wouldn’t shoot Obama to look like the second coming?

Then there’s this little gem:

No, they don’t think he’s the messiah at all (rolls eyes sarcastically)

@mommablogger
I don’t consider myself terribly religious and I am a supporter of Obama. I, personally, find that over the line and off-limits. We live in a world of the extreme, where everyone tries to make the “ultimate” point…and that leads to garbage like that, and like this: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c2/Davis1950/Obama/ObamaWhiteHouse.jpg

Honestly, both sides do the same thing. Each side has their own ways of being “mean” to the other side. Mostly, I look on it all as a bit of a circus side show, since I don’t support either side. There’s little difference between them. Both sides are making things out to be worse than they are about the other, and taking things out of context does make things even more muddled than they already are.
However, it does make for some funny material. I think all things need to be taken with a grain of salt and a little humor. There are so many things to make fun of on both sides, might as well have a little fun while we’re at it right? If everyone would quit getting their panties in a bundle about how the other side is being mean, we wouldn’t have half the issues we have, especially with things like this: http://www.wisn.com/politics/17754232/detail.html
Just lighten up people. On both sides. So what if people are calling Obama the messiah? So what if people are calling Palin Caribou Barbie? There is going to be name calling in any election, so grow some thicker skin and get over it.

For the record, Claude, I completely believe that you are intrigued by Barack because he is, “cool.” On paper, however, you don’t believe in much that he has to offer. Except, well, “Hope(tm) and Change(tm).” That worries me.
I’ll admit that when Barack first started running, I thought that he was cool. But I’m not into socialism and/or anything else that he is going to bring to the table. Unfortunately, the Left has found a pop idol that people can feel “cool” voting for, even if he is completely wrong for the United States.

@Fuzz,
Right right, cuz the republicans have never propped up someone just for the sake of their “rockstar” status, Reagan, Palin…
I have found a connection with Obama, (3-4 years ago?) he was podcasting directly to his constituents, specifically talking about his voting record on specific topics, how he voted and why he voted that way. I appreciate that type of transparency and his ability to relate to people (of a younger generation, perhaps). Yes, he is inspiring with the “Hope” and “Change” slogans…and I think it is great that he can inspire people to get passionate about politics.
Let’s be frank. Both political candidates are not “average” guys. And I wouldn’t want someone like me or Joe the Plumber (shameless Google Keyword) running the country. But I feel I can relate more with Barack Obama than John McCain. I won’t go out of my way to blast McCain. I don’t feel the need to make ridiculous arguements (like you did with Obama being a socialist) to get my point across.
I agree with Mommablogger, I think both sides need to focus on the issues and stop sending out their smear-squads (and running mates) to do subvertive attacks on their opponents, while the candidates themselves smile and shake each other’s hands like they are BFF.
Whoever wins, it is my hope that both sides can come together and move our country forward, together.
