Down and Feeling Great
March 24th, 2007 by FuzzJust a quick update on the “crazy” no meat, no fast food, no coffee diet that I am on. I am down 22 lbs. as of 3 seconds ago, and I feel tremendous. I may never go back to meat, and fast food is the LAST thing on my mind right now. I am so glad that I decided to make this crazy decision. It’s one of the best changes I’ve ever made.
Feeling healthy is great. I only have 33 lbs. to go before I reach my initial goal.
UPDATE: For the record, I have been at the gym every single day for the last week and a half, so this is not a scientific survey on not eating meat. AND… of all of the calories I take in in a day, most actually come from protein. I eat a ton of fish and whey protein (though not together)!

We will not recognize you when we see you again!

That’s the plan.

Congrats! That’s terrific! About 15 years ago I dropped 45 pounds and have vowed to never go back.
I didn’t know that fish was still in the equation? Was it always?
I have started to introduce a little bit of meat again, in the form of fish. Not a lot though. I was down to 112 and for whatever reason am back up to 116. I’m very short though so 5 pounds actually makes a difference. Are you eating dairy at all?

Thanks!
I’ve been eating fish (like it’s going out of style) throughout the entire process. I’m eating so much fish that I hope I don’t get mercury poisoning at this point.
I weighed 112 lbs., once. 5th grade was a great year for me.
Yes, even though I am kinda allergic to milk, I drink a ton of milk and my whey protein is dairy-based.

Fuzz, you might be interested in this book. A friend loaned it to me and I started reading it a few nights ago. So far it’s been good and fairly sound science. He does go off a bit on the no alcohol, which I don’t entirely agree with, but the rest of it is pretty decent.

Thanks, Shana! I’ll look into that.
